James and Brookee were married on October 8, 2011. They held a simple ceremony and reception at a beautiful country setting near Yellville, Arkansas. The weather could not have been more beautiful! It was quite a challange photographing an outdoor wedding at midday under a cloudless sky, but I think I managed to capture some great moments that the couple will cherish. Congratulations Brookee and James, and thank you for allowing me to be a part of your special day!
My good friend Michelle and I are due just a couple of weeks apart this December, so we decided to get together for a fun little maternity session. We didn’t get many shots together (hitting the self-timer and running isn’t nearly as easy when you are 7 months pregnant!) but it was a blast anyways! Can’t wait to see what she captured!
Can’t wait to watch our boys grow up together!
I have been trying to keep my schedule pretty light this Summer/Fall since I am expecting and trying to keep myself as stress-free as possible with this pregnancy and it’s complications. I have primarily been shooting family and friends, but this sweet family was referred to me (thanks, Alison!) and since August is typically fairly slow for pictures anyways, I said yes. I am so glad I got to meet the H family and adorable little Eloise! I am looking forward to working with them again in the future!
Caysie and Jason were married this August at Lake Weddington near Fayetteville. It was an incredibly HOT day for an outdoor wedding, (especially to a pregnant photographer!) topping out at 106 degrees. It was a beautiful ceremony nonetheless. Congratulations, Caysie and Jason. May you have a wonderful life together!
I met Jocelyn’s sweet family for the first time back in April when I did Nikki and Christian’s maternity portraits. Back then, I had just found out I was pregnant too! (See, I do have an excuse for being so far behind with updating my blog! ) I haven’t really photographed many newborns, and I definitely respect photographers who do it full-time. For little such little guys, newborns are a lot of work! But the final result is worth it
Anyways, it was a pleasure to finally meet sweet little Jocelyn, and I look forward to photographing her in the future!
Nikki and Paul were married at the beautiful Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs Arkansas on June 11, 2011. I really enjoyed meeting this sweet family and helping them document this special day. This had to be one of the most laid back, enjoyable weddings I have ever photographed due to Nikki’s awesome organization skills.
How sweet is the little flower girl?!?

Oh, I could go on all day with the photos I love from this wedding, or you could just go here:

Alison and Jason were married May 28 at the beautiful Cooper Chapel in Bella Vista. Alison is a good friend of mine from college, and I was honored when she asked me to photograph her big day. Congratulations to the happy couple!

The bride getting ready. I just love the excitement in those last moments before the ceremony begins!

I think this would have to be my favorite photo of he day. I wanted to get a shot of their rings other than the traditional “hands on the bouquet” image- you know, something with a little more emotion and romance… and it turned out just as I envisioned it!

I think this was the fastest ceremony I have every photographed. Maybe ten minutes, max! And the chapel was packed, which made manuevering a bit difficult. But everything just came together- the light, the beautiful setting, the emotion- for some great images. I love it when that happens

There was plenty of good food at the reception- including just about every flavor of barbeque sauce you could imagine!

And of course, there were plenty of adorable kids there too. I’m a sucker for big bright eyes like this little guy’s!

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Nation, and thank you for letting me be a part of your big day! May you have a long and blessed life together

What a precious baby boy! 6-week-old Connor wasn’t quite sure what to think of the camera, and wasn’t about to go to sleep for us while it was out! I think he was afraid he would miss something if he did
After much coaxing, he did finally sleep though, and we were able to get a few shots before he woke back up.

Connor’s Daddy is a firefighter, so of course we had to do a few shots with all the gear!

I couldn’t believe how alert little Connor was for his age. Look at those beautiful blue eyes!

I had the opportunity to meet and photograph the sweet A family last fall, and was thrilled to work with them again for Baby Caleb’s one-year pictures! He had grown so much, but was just a cute as ever!

Here’s a cute shot with Daddy:

And one of the whole family:
